Oh that's not good about Ed. Looks like Stubblehopper won't be coming to Wotan. And yes, Syd has been very quiet - someone on the sales thread complained that the Dennison is up for sale again 'cos Syd hasn't returned emails.

Yeah, Ed spent some time in Hospital with it... I only found out recently as I was away on holiday when the news went round the office.

I'll have to give Syd a ring as well then...

Syd posted me the £15 for a Tommy fix. He did mention he's not able to get online ATM.

Just came off the phone with Ed... He's been off for for 5 weeks. Hopes to be back on wednesday!

As far as Wotan goes, he wants to see how he feels by the end of the week before saying yay or nay to attending...

Now to ring Syd....

BTW, Guy... don't forget to count the bandages!!! :)

Let me know what you think of this Jay. If you want more, or want to change stuff in anyway, let me know. If it's okay I'll transpose into German via Babelfish and handwrite into a logbook.

Also still need the German stationery examples to complete the letters from the officer.

13/01/1945

The experiments on cadavers seem not to be producing the results I require for the creations that we are striving towards. Numerous reflexive and nervous problems are creating responses that are unexpected or wildly disproportionate to those I had expected from my research and hypothetical experiments. More work is needed on the animals I have procured to see if live tests will yield the results I so desperately need to satiate the Fuhrer’s anger.

19/01/1945

The last week has been long and difficult but at last, the results I expected are starting to prove true. Tests on the primates that my colleagues in the military ‘imported’ from the numerous zoos in the liberated countries of Europe were astonishing and showed the true might of the serum. With results like this I can rest easy over the coming weeks.

News of the advancing enemy seems to be greatly exaggerated, within the next fortnight I will be testing on the live subjects. Once this stage is complete, nothing will stop the advancement of the master race throughout the world.

30/01/1945

With preliminary biological and physical test on the live subjects now complete, they are ready to be brought through the quarantine procedure. I will be able to actually lay my hands on these wrecks within the week. My excitement at this important stage can hardly be contained. My talks with the Fuhrer last week seemed to bolster his spirit and he is counting on me to halt the imminent enemy advances. Most of the primates have now passed away, but not before giving me some of the most exciting results of my career.

06/02/1945

Today was the first day of test on the live subjects. These Eastern pigs of humans could hardly be expected to produce the results that a true Aryan could give, but the outcome of the introduction of the serum into the bloodstream has been nothing but astounding. I will be able to begin issuing the serum to our soldiers within the month.

15/02/1945

Catastrophe! It seems the serum has produced some unexpected side-effects. When administered intravenously the serum acts upon the red blood cells within the subject and disables any clotting function in the bloodstream. The result is not pretty, the subjects seem to be haemorrhaging from the very pores of the skin and from every orofice of the body. If I stop the constant injections of plasma, they will bleed to death. I must remember to order more sheets and swabs to gather the endless outletting of blood from the subjects.

22/02/1945

By some miracle of God or science, it seems the side effects I wrote about previously have ceased and the subjects now appear to be stronger and able to sustain activity far longer. I’m glad I decided to continue the plasma injections as this seemed to keep them alive for long enough. Perhaps some immune reaction within the body enabled the serum’s molecules to attach to the recipient on an atomic level. I will write to Doctor Eberstark in Frankfurt to ask about his advances within the atomic biology of humans.

I was pondering how we are going to fix these signs up. We can't nail stuff to the walls, the surfaces are damp and crappy so won't be able to stick them. Thought maybe I drill holes in the corners and hope we can tie them in place with string?

I have got a wadge of A2 posters (27 of them) but not sure we can use them at all...

From t'other thread:

Construction materials:

We’re gonna need wire, wire cutters, pins, small nails, hammers, gaffa tape, tacks and other such stuff for hanging some of the props up with. If everyone whose got some could bring them, that would be great!

Damn, I can't find the list of props that everyone was sorting. I thought it was stickied - I know I have added to it a while back...

Following Andreas' frustration at people getting German translations wrong he has kindly agreed to translate the diary above into German for me!

Should be able to decipher some of the contents now.

Kermit, I tried to call you earlier. I notice you've asked people to bring dictionaries to the event. Is there a need for me to include anything pertinent in the diary or letter?

Also, I've commandeered some office stuff like paper, envelopes, hanging files etc. Is there anything else you'll need?
